We are delighted to be Content Partners for Insurance 3.0, a refreshing mix of young insurance talent, senior insurance executives, thought leaders from outside the industry, international startups and investors, taking place on 21 September in London. Tickets are still available on the website.
We have enjoyed working with the team to build an agenda for the day that we think will be both highly informative and refreshingly different.
Panel discussions make way for more engaging and interactive formats such as the Blockchain Courtroom Drama, where professionals and techies go head-to-head debating whether distributed ledger technology really is the next big thing or not. The quality of speakers is exceptional, including a keynote from Jason Stockwood, CEO at Simply Business for seven years until its acquisition for 50x EBITDA by Travelers in 2017, and Alex Moczarski, Chairman of International at Marsh & McLennan Companies.
We particularly like the fact that the day will start with a discussion between executives who are not even in the insurance industry, including Lars Henneberg, Head of Risk and Insurance at Maersk, who recently launched a blockchain-enabled marine insurance platform with Willis Towers Watson, MS Amlin, XL Catlin. Bosch and MasterCard will also be represented.
This conference is not going to be about insurance people rehashing the same statements about innovation; it’s going to be much better than that. The London and global insurance markets need to change and maybe this event can be the place where it all kicks off.
The Oxbow Partners session
Oxbow Partners is hosting a session at 10.45 called ‘InsurTech does Take Me Out’. UK residents might see what we’ve done here – this is a fusion of 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown and dating show Take Me Out, all in an InsurTech context.
We’ll use this format to host an engaging discussion between two leading InsurTechs and a set of senior industry executives about technology-led change in the specialty market. Each InsurTech will present their solution for five minutes giving the audience real insight into how their proposition could have an impact in the market.
